Who is Fry's Electronics:

Frys.com Alexa.com rank is 11,955 with 642 sites linking in. "Frys is a specialty retailer of software, consumer electronics, computer hardware and household appliances with a chain of superstores headquartered in Silicon Valley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fry%27s_Electronics)." They operate brick and mortor stores and their online site Frys.com. "In 1972, Charles Fry sold the Fry's Supermarkets chain for USD $40 million and gave a cut of the money to each of his sons, John, Randy, and Dave. The Fry brothers had little interest in grocery store retailing. Instead, in 1985, they joined together with a fourth partner, Kathryn Kolder, to open the first Fry's Electronics store at a 20,000 square foot (2,000 mē) site in Sunnyvale, California.[3] Today, Fry's Food and Drug stores (which still share a similar logo) are not affiliated with Fry's Electronics, but are owned and operated by Kroger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fry%27s_Electronics)." Best Buy is the main competitor of Fry's Electronics.

Frys.com Review:

RateItAll.com
At RateItAll.com Fry's has a 2.37  based on 54 ratings (http://www.rateitall.com/i-27925-frys.aspx). ON RateItAll.com some people complain about Fry's return policy, "Fry's Return Policy is a ripped off."

ResellerRatings.com
At ResellerRatings.com Fry's has a  5.93 / 10 based on 794 reviews. Many customer complain about slow shipping when they order online (http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Fry_s_Electronics_Outpost).

CNET
Write, Rafe Needleman, says that he likes the Fry's store, but he does not like the Frys.com web site. He states that it's web 1.0 with outdated buying guides. The author of this article recommends NewEgg.com instead of Frys.com (http://reviews.cnet.com/4531-10921_7-6658638.html).

Overall ratings for Fry's seem low. There is a web site set up for those that would like to complain at
FrysForum.com.  They are not affiliated with the official Fry's store. Some questionable things Fry's has done in the past is sue a man who owned a french fry vending machine business. He's company web site was Frys.com. Fry's Electronics sued this man in 1997 and won in default judgement. The definition of default judgment in case you don't know is, "Binding judgment in favor of the plaintiff when the defendant has not responded to a summons or has failed to appear before a court (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Default_judgment). Fry's has also sued a man in 2001 posting retail Fry's ads at FrysSd.com and it recently sued a New York registrant of the frys.us domain.

Finances:

"Starting with one store located in Sunnyvale, California, USA, the chain now boasts sales of $2.4B with over 30 stores located in several Western states, two near Atlanta, Georgia, two in Arizona, multiple locations in Texas, and one each in Illinois and Indiana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fry%27s_Electronics)."

What I think of Frys:

I have actually never shopped at Fry's brick and mortor store or Frys.com. I do receive their ads weekly and they seem to have some of the best deals of any computer store online and offline. If I ever need any computer supplies I will definitely check Fry's or Frys.com.
